Microlinks are one of our favorite ways to do that. They’re a seamless, natural looking extension method that adds length and fullness without the use of glue or harsh adhesives. They’re also a low-tension technique, making them gentle on your scalp and natural hair.

Because microlinks allow full access to your scalp, they’re a great option for anyone who wants to maintain a healthy scalp routine. Those with conditions like psoriasis or seborrheic dermatitis can benefit from the ability to cleanse, treat, and care for their scalp without restriction.

Each install is completely customized using premium Vietnamese hair that’s hand-selected to match your texture and lifestyle. The result? Extensions that move like your own hair and blend so perfectly, no one can tell where yours ends and the extensions begin.

Microlinks give you the freedom to wear your hair how you love. Sleek and straight, soft and wavy, curly and voluminous or somewhere in between all while keeping that signature SlayNYC luxury finish.

It’s important to note that microlinks are not a protective style, your natural hair still needs love, moisture, and care in between visits. Regular maintenance and healthy hair habits are key to keeping both your extensions and your natural hair in their best condition.

Single Weft

The Single Weft Microlink method uses one bundle of premium Vietnamese double-drawn extensions, installed using small aluminum, silicone-lined beads for a secure, low-tension hold. The weft is then sewed in a way that allows your natural hair to move freely while giving a subtle boost in length and fullness.

Lasts: up to 10–12 weeks with proper care. 4-week touch ups required. Wash, style, and treat in between visits.
Versatility: Offers moderate styling flexibility. You can wear it down, half-up, or in mid to low ponytails, depending on your perimeter coverage. It’s perfect for a soft, natural look that feels effortless.
Best for: fine to medium textures who want a lightweight, natural enhancement.
Not ideal for: very thick or coarse hair that needs more density, the Double Weft Microlink provides fuller results.

Double Weft

The Double Weft Microlink method uses two bundles of premium Vietnamese double-drawn extensions installed with aluminum, silicone-lined beads for durability and comfort. This technique doubles the fullness while keeping the same seamless, natural finish. Ideal for clients who love thicker, more voluminous styles without the bulk of traditional sew-ins.

Lasts: up to 10–12 weeks with proper care. 4-week touch ups required. Wash, style, and treat in between visits.
Versatility: Provides moderate styling flexibility. Hair can be worn down, curled, or in mid to low ponytails, depending on your perimeter coverage. Perfect for clients who love volume and movement but don’t need a high ponytail.
Best for: medium to thick textures that can comfortably hold two bundles and want a full look.
Not ideal for: fine or fragile hair that may find two bundles too heavy.

I-Tips

The I-Tip Microlink method attaches small, individual strands of premium Vietnamese double-drawn hair using unlined copper beads. Each strand is installed one by one, giving you a seamless, lightweight blend that moves naturally with your own hair. This method is known for its flexibility, comfort, and soft, natural finish.

Includes: 150g of Vietnamese extensions. Additional hair can be purchased for a fuller or higher-density look.
Lasts: up to 12 weeks with proper maintenance. No touch up required. Wash, style, treat in between visits.
Reusability: Hair can typically be reused once with proper care and professional removal.
Versatility: Offers full 360° styling freedom. Wear your hair up, down, or in sleek ponytails with ease.
Best for: medium to thick textures that can support individual strand attachments.
Not ideal for: very fine, fragile, or thinning hair that may not hold each bead securely.

K-Tips

The K-Tip Extension method uses small, keratin-based bonds that are melted and fused strand by strand to your natural hair. Each bond is lightweight and blends seamlessly, creating an undetectable, natural flow with zero bulk. This is one of the most luxurious and long-lasting extension methods available.

What makes K-Tips special is how customizable they are. Each bond can be tailored to your hair’s needs and clients with finer hair can have smaller, custom-sized bonds created so that the weight is distributed evenly and comfortably. This ensures your hair stays healthy, secure, and balanced while still achieving your desired fullness.

Includes: 150g of Vietnamese extensions. Additional hair can be purchased for added fullness or density.
Lasts: up to 12–18 weeks before removal and reinstall. Wash, style treat in between visits. Excessive washing or leaving bonds wet due to improper drying will weaken bonds and affect longevity.
Reusability: Hair can potentially be reused multiple times depending on how it’s maintained and removed.
Versatility: Allows full 360° styling range perfect for ponytails, buns, or sleek styles.
Best for: medium to thick textures, or finer textures that benefit from customized bonds for even weight distribution.
